A some what happy/sad weekend
I had to write about this quickly on here for my sake but feel free to read.

Saturday my Grandma (My Mom's Mom) died. I was okay with it, I was sad but more happy than anything else. We all knew it was her time, she has been sick for many years now. I guess I was sad only because she was the one Grandma I ever knew in my life and has been the one Grandparent that I have stayed some what close to over the years. I guess as I have become an adult with a family of my own it was nice to share that with her and to have my daughter meet her great grandma was some what special to me. My Dad's Mother died when my Dad was a young boy so I never even met her. My Dad's Dad was not around that much growing up either so I never got to know him like a Grandpa, he too has passed on. I have fond memories of my Mom's Father as a Grandpa to me when I was a little kid but I was only 10 when he died. So this being my last real Grandparent alive that I was close to kinda made me sad to know she is no longer on this earth with us. But then I would think about how she was so sick near the end of her life and miserable, really, it made me more happy for her than any other feeling I had. Is it bad that I haven't cried?! I'm usually an emotional person but I guess I find it hard to cry for her death because it was a good thing to happen at this time.
I have trust and faith in my Father in Heaven and know that there is a plan for all of us. I know he loves her and he loves me and I guess all I can feel is gratitude and joy for my family and for the times I had with my Grandmother on this earth. I know families are eternal, I know it more now as a mother of my own children, than ever before. I know that we will all be reunited one day and I know there are others on this earth that don't have this knowledge, I am so BLESSED to have this comfort in my life!

To my Mom:
I love you. As I sat and thought about the time when one day I will have to say goodbye to you (in old age hopefully) I can now feel the sadness you feel now for your mother. I was blessed to have you as a Mother, I couldn't have asked Heavenly Father for a better family. Thank you for being the ultimate example to me.

I was also sad thinking I wasn't able to go to my Grandmas funeral. I have yet to be to a funeral, in my life, and really wanted to go to this one. I thought the plane tickets would be too expensive, I knew Cory couldn't come because of school, meaning traveling by myself with two kids, never a fun thought. Then I went on line and looked at the prices of air fare just to make sure I was right and found a really good deal that I couldn't pass up. J is still a lap child until the 13th of August so he's still free yay! I know I'll be alone but I think I can handle it. The kids are getting old enough to deal with a plane ride. It's only a two hour flight, it's like Stake Conference( but they can watch a movie) piece of cake! I'm WAY EXCITED to go! I get to see my mom and be with her during this time and my sister will be there, my cousins I'm close to will be there too so it will be fun and worth a little money on air fare. Since it's a last minute trip I'm kinda stressing out since I only have a few days to deep clean my house (I have a habit of doing that before I go out of town), run all the errands I was going to do through out this week, make a few phone calls to cancel things, and get things set for us to go but it'll be worth it. Wish me luck, flying with two kids alone, I'll need it!

All Boy!
My little J boy is so funny! He is talking so much these days and it's really fun most of the time. He loves to repeat everything we say which is why it is only fun most of the time :) E will tell him funny or silly things to say and that is fun to watch but there is one thing he says recently that makes me laugh and he got it from his daddy....
With the Olympics coming up soon we have been watching a lot of sporting events on T.V. lately. When daddy turns the channel to any sporting event J will immediately glue his eyes to the television and watch intently as if he knows what is going on in the game. Then if a good move was made or a goal scored or what have you, he will say in his cute little toddler voice say "NIIIIICE!" with the "I" dragged out and in a tone that makes you think he really knows what he's talking about. It is so CUTE! It makes C and I laugh every time. Apparently C and I both say "NIIICE" when watching sports and he has picked it up. The best part is J only says it when some thing nice really does happen it's so funny. He's all boy and loves to watch sports! I'll try and get a video of him doing it, mostly for family, and post it on here.

Naughty Princess!

Yes, Princesses do get in trouble by the almighty Queen herself in this Kingdom.
Yes, Princesses do have to stand in time out.
Yes, Princesses do have to say sorry for being naughty in this Kingdom.
Yes, We love our Princess!

Summer tan lines
It's hot here! Much of the kids time out side is spent at the pool or in our little kiddy pool in our back yard. Since I go where my kids go I have noticed I'm getting tanner, by the day. I'm kinda liking it. I know I will never look like my Pocahontas sister but still this is good for me. It's probably not appropriate to post pictures of my tan lines but I do have a tan line that I haven't had the whole five years we have been married.......

Yep, my very first wedding ring tan line since we've been married! I know it's not that noticeable to you but to me it is. I know it sounds sad that I have been married 5 years and I am just barely getting a ring tan line from the one ring I should wear all the time but let me explain.....

2 weeks after we were married I got pregnant and about 3 months after that I swelled up like a water balloon! Sad but true, I gained 55 lbs while carrying our sweet little girl, yeah you read me right 55!!! I was huge! Most of it water weight making it so I could not wear my ring at all during my pregnancy with her. After she was born in March it took me a long while to lose the baby weight, a LONG time. I didn't want to re-size it so I just didn't wear it and waited until it could slide back onto my now chubby fingers. I had not been wearing my ring for quite a while so when it did finally fit my finger I forgot to put it on most days. I finally got in the habit of putting it on every day when that it finally fit me again and then I got pregnant again and swelled up again (not quite as huge this time :). So I had to take it off once again and wait until it fit, once again. Last summer it fit me as long as it wasn't hot and humid outside making my hands swell up, which wasn't often, so I just forgot to put it on much of the time. BUT I made it a point to always wear it this summer and now look, my very first wedding ring tan! I'm so proud and I'm sure my hubby likes it too along with my other tan lines ;)

(don't make fun of my chubby mischlin man fingers!)

Catching up
Okay so I have lots of blogging to catch up on. My computer is still weird and not "recognizing" my camera so C put the pictures on his lap top, then his jump drive, then put in on our computer, quite the process but we have pictures now :) So there will be lots of posts to follow this one.
C is back in school officially for his second year of Dental School but before he went back we decided to get out and do some things as a family since I was feeling more up to it and my jaw was getting a lot better.

We went to the zoo as a family for the first time this season. We have some cute Koala's that are just visiting our zoo for a few months so we wanted to see them before they left. Apparently Koalas sleep any where from 18 to 21 hours a DAY! What a life, sleep, eat, sleep some more. So when we saw them they were of course sleeping but still, so cute. At our zoo they just finished a new water splash park area for the kids one of those parks with all the spouts and buckets that shoot or pour water every where. So since it was pretty hot out we skipped seeing most of the animals the kids have already seen any way and went straight to the splash park and they loved it! J just ran around and around playing in the water, he was so happy and it wore him out which was nice. E had a blast too although she was a little timid at first about getting wet but got over that quickly. On one of the spouts that shoots water out of the ground there was a penny stuck on it, as if some one put that down to trick the kids into putting their faces right over the spout when it was off so that it would shoot them in the face when it came back on. So being the mean parents we are when that spout was off we showed J the penny, knowing how much he loves to play with money we knew he'd try and pick it up. He went over to the penny bent down and looked at it just as the water began to come out. The water didn't shoot out hard but it did get him in the face and we laughed we are so mean, but it's just water it's not like it hurt him, just scared him a little then he laughed too.

There is another pool here that I wanted to take the kids to so we decided to go with Daddy too before he had to head back to school. See here, in the summers it's so hot but not just hot, humid too so standing in shade does nothing to cool you off. If you are out side in this heat you'll most likely want to be in or near water to cool you off. So going to this new pool area was just what we needed to beat the heat. It had a little wading pool that was less than three feet deep so the kids can just run around with out us needing to hold them which is nice. It also had a big pool with big water slides but we didn't even bother with that since the kids were too small to even go on the big slides. but also in this kiddy area they had some short water slides and a play ground in the middle with a tunnel slide that went into the water and it had spouts shooting water every where. The kids loved it, especially the water slides. J even could go down them by himself I just had to catch him at the end when it got too deep for him. They went down the slides what seemed like a hundred times but it was fun to watch them laugh and love it. I'm glad we went and we'll be going again because it was so cheap to get in and totally worth it.
Even though C had a long break it seemed like much of the time we stayed home because of the whole jaw issue thing and I'm glad we took the last week and a half to get out as a family and do some fun things. Here are pics. There are more posts below of the other things we've been up to lately, enjoy!

The cute sleeping Koala

Can you tell he was having fun, he was all smiles!
We only got two pictures of J at the other pool with the slides before our camera batteries died. He had so much fun going down those slides over and over and so did E.

Take me out to the Ball Game!
The Dental school had a night out at the Base ball game for our local minor league baseball team. We decided to go as family and the kids had a blast. We went last year to one game and E loved it and still remembers it. She asked every time we drove by the ball field if she could go watch the men playing baseball. I promised her when baseball season was back we would go, so we went.

They have a grassy area behind center field that you can sit on the grass on a blanket and watch the game and the tickets are cheaper than buying a ticket for the actual seats. I like the grass better because then my kids can just run around and I don't feel like I have to keep them contained to one spot. A lot of families chose to do this for the same reason, to let their kids run around so I don't feel bad when my kids are all over the place because it really doesn't bother any one in that area. It was nice to go with other dental students too, we got to know some of the new first years and that was fun. Can I just say how wonderful it feels to say we are not a "first year" Dental family any more, YAY we're second years no longer at the bottom of the barrel! It feels good, we're that much closer to graduation :)
Any way it was a perfect evening to get outside and have fun, it was not too hot or humid and I'm glad we went. Here are the pictures.....
One of the dental students won this frog and gave it to E, she was so happy as you can see.
Cool dude with his hat on. Look how cute he is!
They got to stay up late, run around every where and eat gummy worms, it couldn't have been a better night for them.

What I love about summer time
Although I don't think we will stay in this part of the country forever (we'll most likely leave after we are done with school) there are things I love about it here that I will for sure miss when we do leave. The summers here are hot and humid and I don't love that at all but there is something different and fun about the summers of the midwest. I love that every thing here is so green even during the hot summers, it because it is so humid here. I love going for an evening summer walk and hearing the cicada bugs in the trees. I don't know why, I guess because it was something new to me when we moved out here and it brings fond memories of our first summer in our new life in the midwest. The other thing I love about the summers is when the fire flies or lightning bugs which ever you prefer, come out. They are fun bugs to watch and catch, which I only first experienced this summer. A bug that's bum lights up, come on how can that not be fun?
Before we moved out here I told C I was so excited to see lightning bugs because I had never seen them in real life before and neither had he. C drove the long trip across the country and we waited until he had a place for us to live before me and E flew out to our new home. On his drive out he called me while at a rest stop and said "hey hun, guess what I'm looking at right now?" I replied I didn't know and he said "Lightning bugs, they are every where here." I know it sounds lame but it got me so excited to move out here and see them. It was so sweet that he gave me a call to tell me that he was looking right at them and they were real, not that I didn't believe they were real but he knew it would get me excited. So when I got here in mid-July of '06 we would look out in our yard to see the lightning bugs but they are only around for a short part of the summer when they light up and by the time I got out here they were pretty much done for the season. I was bummed. I saw maybe one or two that first summer here. The next summer we went back West and had a huge family cabin trip and again we were gone from June to mid-July, so I missed them yet again. I maybe saw a few that year and was bummed again. This year I was determined to not only get to see lots of lightning bugs but to really experience them and actually catch them. So when the first few started showing up in June we took our chance and let E stay up late with us in the evening to catch these fun little bugs. We had so much fun! E loved it and asks all the time if she can catch them again. Their season is pretty much over and we don't see a whole lot of them around our house these days but I'm glad we took the chance to actually experience them, it was so fun. C got a couple of good pictures of the ones we caught which is a lot harder than it sounds. As soon as we caught them (that part is not hard) they were more concerned about getting out of the jar than lighting up so to get good pictures of them was not easy.
Well any way, here is the best picture of our lightning bugs.Look how excited she was, she caught her first lightning bug!

Sunday best
The kids looked so cute the other week in their Sunday best so I had to snap a cute picture of the kids. It only took five minutes and several pictures taken to get them both looking at the camera.

What could be more fun?
Two kids + lot of bubble wrap = hours of fun! When we got our new computer along with it came lots of bubble wrap and of course we showed the kids just how fun bubble wrap can be, and they LOVED it!J trying to pop it by biting it, didn't work so well.

Error: Computer does not recognize camera
Yes I love Technology....most of the time! I do hate it when it turns on you though and decides to just mess with you and make your life harder. I used to not mind mess'n with the computer or what ever piece of electronics to figure out what is wrong with it and then fix it myself but since being married I found some one else can do it for me and faster too, that being my hubby of course, when he is around that is. I have gotten lazy and spoiled and now don't even know where to start when it comes to "mess'n" with our new computer.

So here I am wishing and hoping (that is pretty much all I am doing at this point) that my computer would recognize my digital camera again and upload the loads of cute pictures of the kids I have taken in the last couple of weeks. But no, technology doesn't just listen to your every wishful thought, it is out to make you miserable and frustrated. Okay so I'm not miserable but definitely frustrated. I love digital cameras. I love that you don't have to pray and hope the the 24 pictures you took will turn out even a little bit good, no waiting to see, just flip a switch and if it's an awful one there is no sense in keeping it, just hit delete! I love them but I hate it when I either can't figure them out, or when I break them because I have a tendency to do that some times ;)
Please please camera just work when I plug you into the computer that would be great. And if it's not you camera and it's YOU computer, well you should know better you are new, we just bought you, don't do this to us so soon!!

So to all you wondering why no posts with cute pictures or fun videos (mom) this is why.... yes I love technology.....most of the time.

My little prankster
Here are some conversations E and I have been having lately, they are getting a little old but I don't know how to tell her to stop:

E: Mommy I want a baby sister okay
Me: Okay some day I'm sure you'll have a baby sister
E: Mommy I want one now, can you have a baby in your tummy now?
Me: well not right this minute, no (it doesn't really work that way but how do you explain that to a 4 year old?)
E: When?
Me: I don't know (a little annoyed)
E: can you get one in your tummy PLEASE!?
Me: No heavenly father has to put it in there (I know that is not the best way to handle it but what ever)
E: well mommy we have a baby waiting for us
Me: we do? Where?
E: in Heaven
Me: uhhhhh (what do I say to that)

So we've had these types of conversations a lot and it usually ends in me arguing with a 4 year old about me getting pregnant or not getting pregnant. Shouldn't I be discussing this with my hubby and not my 4 year old daughter? Any way it's kinda weird but I'm feeling a little guilty.

So here is the story that has to do with my title:
Yesterday we had this conversation yet again and it ended with the famous "Mommy we have a baby waiting for us in Heaven" shpeal from my little darling. So after that E started playing mommy with one of her dolls and she told me I was the Grandma. After just a minute or two of playing mommy and grandma she asked if she could call her Grandma so of course I said yes.
I went and got the phone and called my Mom. She answered and I said "E wants to talk to you"
and then handed E the phone.
Here is how the conversation went: (I could hear my mom because I always turn up the volume so I can help E out when she doesn't know what to say)

I hear....
Gma: Hi sweety what are you doing?
E: playing
Gma: Did you call to tell me some thing?

at this point I immediately know what E is going to say and I know it's going to be funny....

E: yay
Gma: okay what did you want to tell me?
E: Mommy is having a baby

right now I start busting up laughing. I knew it, I knew she was going to say some thing to that effect and it was hilarious! I also knew how my mom was going to react and that is why I started laughing hisarically.

Gma: Oh she is?!! (I could hear my mom's voice tone change to that high excited tone she gets when she hears news like, well, when I tell her I'm pregnant. So I know at this point my mom is believeing it)

By the way to all reading I AM NOT PREGNANT! This is just E playing a little joke on my mom.

I then hear my mom ask all kinds of questions to E like "what do you want it to be a brother or a sister?" "when is the baby coming" and so on. I hear her tell my Dad too, all the while I am laughing histarically because if I tried to play a joke on my mom like this I couldn't have planned it better myself! And here E is innocently pranking my Mom. It was so funny!

So I finally get the phone back after I let this little joke fester a bit and then can't control my laughing while I try and tell my mom I AM NOT PREGNANT. She finally asks "so are you pregnant or not?!" I finally get myself to stop laughing while I'm talking so I can clearly tell her I am not. She was some what bummbed but I think she kinda knew that I really wasn't but wanted to believe this little 4 year old any way. She said she could hear me laughing and thought I was laughing because I was so clever in letting E tell my parents that we were expecting again, but no that is not why I was laughing and she soon found out why I was laughing so hard.
Ohh it was too good. My mom was good about it, she new E didn't purposly try and trick her and I didn't put E up to it. I think E said that because just before we had called Grandma we had that "I want a baby" conversation again. Thank you my sweet girl for giving me a good laugh yesterday and thank you mom for helping :) Who knows maybe we will have a baby soon ;)

A World with out Internet!!!!
So do you ever wonder what your world would be like with out the internet? Well I never wondered until one day we didn't have internet. AAHH not that! We shared internet with our good friends and neighbors. We were spoiled, we got fast internet for a really really good price. Our friends decided to get up and move on us and leave us in a lurch with no internet. It was my hubby's job to order internet, I didn't care from whom, where, or how we got internet but just to get some. Well he put it off and finally ordered it the day ours was shut off. They told us they were sending us some thing in the mail and to wait for that, so we did. NO INTERNET, for how long?! How long can me and my addiction to the internet last with out it, not to mention my even more so addicted hubby! Well we did it for only two and a half days and let me tell you that was a long and strange two and a half days. Here is what would happen.....

Oh I wonder if I got any email oh wait no internet!
Hmmm wonder what the weather is going to be in ten minutes, oh wait no internet!
I need to call such and such business in town to see if they have this thing, dang no internet!
I need to get directions on map quest to see how to get to this place, ahh no interent!!
I bored maybe I'll blog surf, nope, no internet!
I need to email so and so about a church thing, ahhhhhhhh no internet!!!!
I want to look up how much it costs to get in to this place....no internet
see what movies are playing, no internet!

Well, you get the idea. This is what happened in my head for two and a half days. I guess I never realized how much I do use the internet every day for pretty much anything and everything. We don't use phone books any more. We don't use newspapers or watch the news it's all on the internet now. We don't use maps why should we it's all on the internet now. Why pick up the phone and call someone when you can just get on the net and email right? I can't remember my life with out it, it's like it's a part of my family now. I miss it dearly when it's gone. It's a sad story that I can't survive two days with out it but I think it can be a useful thing, this thing we call the internet, but at the same time I realized I'm on it WAY too much. I got on the computer and didn't know what to do since we had no internet, what are computers used for if you don't have the internet? I don't know..... It was kinda nice to be unplugged from it for a little while anyway, even with the slight frustration it caused, it was kinda nice. So now I have some blogging to catch up on now since it has been two whole days :) Welcome back internet we missed you!!!

4th 'O July Fun!
I know it's a few days late but I just wanted to put up some of the pictures we took on the 4th. Even though it rained the first part of the day we still decided to get out and celebrate the Holiday. We celebrated with a fun community picnic with lots of food and then we set off some of our own fire works, which the kids loved and so did the Dads I think :) I think J is going to be a pyrotechnician when he grows up, he LOVED watching the fire works go off. He was always right there trying to help light them, not good! And after every time one would go off and make it's loud noise he would say "Ohhh man!" like it was the coolest thing he'd seen, it was hilarious! He would not move away from where the action was until he was sure it was over, he was so funny! He is all boy through and through, loves to play with fire! We bought some sparklers for the kids and that was a hit of course and no one got burned! E was actually too scared to hold them, she did it once and then decided it wasn't worth it and refused to do any more, what a funny girly girl.
After the BBQ we cleaned up the mess and bathed the kids since they were GROSS from playing in the muddy playground and then headed out to watch the fire works show down town. We watched them from up on top of the Dental School parking garage so we got a nice view and C snapped some pretty cool pictures of the sky line and the fire works. It was a great day, I'm glad we got to celebrate this great country with so many good friends.

Look how good my hubby is at getting night pictures, well I was impressed! These are just a few of the ones that turned out good that he took of the fire works show down town.

There are all the Dad's setting off the fire works and then there's J
here is J as close as we would let him get to the action
So most of my pictures came out smokey because there was a lot of smoke sorry.
Aww Father and Son!
He would not move from that spot
J wishing he had a match to light that thing. Notice how disgustingly dirty his face, hair and clothes are...he had lots of fun that day!
E holding a sparkler can you tell she was scared? Well she was, she ended up handing it off to me.
E and her BFF enjoying the fire works from afar!

Feeling better
So I wanted to do a quick up date on the whole TMJ thing for those of you who care to know. I have been going back and forth to the Dr. and it is on the up hill now and hopefully it will stay that way. The last two weeks have been more like a roller coaster, with it's up days and down days but I feel like I will keep getting better.

We got the MRI results back and found that the disk wasn't damaged, no bones damaged, no ligaments torn or damaged, and the jaw was back in its right place, whew! That being said, all the pain I have now is all muscular. The MRI being so good means I will have a much shorter recovery, that this is much like a sprained ankle except it's a jaw sprain, I guess...So my recovery will be weeks in stead of months yay! I didn't realize I had so many muscles in my face/jaw area all of which are hurting and sore right now, but they are getting better. I still have limited motion in my jaw, I can't open it all the way but it's getting better. I can't do the side to side motion really well, today I can a little bit and that is an improvement from yesterday the last couple of weeks when I couldn't at all. The side to side motion is vital, especially when doing things like eating and talking, which you don't realize you need to move it side to side so much until you CAN'T. Yesterday I went in and saw the Dr. again and they did a steroid injection in through my mouth up to some vital muscles in my jaw to help with inflmation and I feel a ton better today, so it looks like that helped a lot. If I still can't open my mouth all the way by next week they'll look at doing another one but we'll see.
This whole thing has been crazy and at the same time I feel blessed. With us not having insurance it couldn't have happened at a better time. Since the Research Center caused it they are paying for all of this, but if this would have happened on it's own I don't know what we would have done money wise. So I feel blessed even though this has been hard to deal with at times. I have a wonderful hubby who took such good care of me, the kids and our home while I was at my lowest and I am so grateful to him for that. Isn't it crazy how we can see the good in all situations no matter how bad they seem to be, that is the beauty of our Heavenly Father's Plan for us.
Good news is I can eat a little more than I have been. The last two weeks I have hardly ate any thing and have lost a few inches nothing drastic and now that I can finally eat real food I just don't seem to have the appite for it and my stomach has shrunk so eating a small bowl of cereal this morning filled me to the top, it's kinda nice :)
Any way thanks to all my wonderful friends and family for the calls of concern, for helping watch the kids, for bringing me smoothies, you've all been so great I really am grateful for the good people in my life!

Happy Canada Day!
Yesterday was Canada Day and with my hubby being from Canada we felt the need to celebrate. I love that we as a family have the opportunity to celebrate both the great Countries in which we are from and in the same month too! Although my roots do not come from Canada I feel a special connection with this great Country not only because I married in to an amazing Canadian Family but also because of the wonderful people I have met from this Country, and because it is so beautiful there. If you haven't been to Canada believe me when I say it has it's own Beauty. Although my hubby's roots aren't from the U.S. I know he loves this country as well, it has given him the opportunity for school and that is some thing to be grateful for. I can't wait until our kids are older and understand why we celebrate both countries and I hope they learn to love both countries as we do. I have talked to E about where her grandma and grandpa live and where her Daddy is from and that it is a different country but she still doesn't quite understand what "a different Country" means. But when she hears some one say Canada she knows that is where Grandma and Grandpa live so she's starting to catch on.

So yesterday we had our good friends Josh and Sarah over for a nice dinner, that's pretty much all we did to celebrate but hey who doesn't love to celebrate with food?! Sarah is also from Canada and Josh is also from the U.S. so we have that in common with them. It's always fun to celebrate Canada Day and Canadian Thanksgiving with such good friends each year, we're lucky to be so close to them and have that opportunity each year. We pretty much just ate dinner and let the kids play and chatted for a while, it was fun! No fire works this time, we'll save that for the 4th. Like I said when the kids get older we'll probably do more and explain it to them.

Any way.... I just wanted to say a big HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!!! to all you Canadians out there. I know I have some Canadian readers not all are C's family. I hope you all had a great celebration yesterday.

I didn't know much about Canada Day and wanted to know more so I looked it up and here is what I learned:

On June 20, 1868, a proclamation signed by the Governor General, Lord Monck, called upon all Her Majesty's loving subjects throughout Canada to join in the celebration of the anniversary of the formation of the union of the British North America provinces in a federation under the name of Canada on July 1st. The July 1st holiday was established by statute in 1879, under the name Dominion Day . It wasn't until about 1958 where the government arranged for there to be an annual observance of Canada's National Day, although the celebration mostly took place in the Nations Capitol. A new formula was developed in 1980 whereby the National Committee (the federal government organization charged with planning Canada's Birthday celebrations) stressed and sponsored the development of local celebrations all across Canada. In 1981, July 1st which was previously known as Dominion Day was officially changed to "Canada Day".

So there you have it... the short version of how it became known as Canada Day!

This is a metal sculpture of the Canadian Flag in the park Down Town from my home town. They had the Canadian and American flag sculptures right next to each other. I had my Mom take a picture of me (pregnant with J) and E in front of it for my in-laws. I don't know that I ever showed them this picture.
