Catching up
Okay so I have lots of blogging to catch up on. My computer is still weird and not "recognizing" my camera so C put the pictures on his lap top, then his jump drive, then put in on our computer, quite the process but we have pictures now :) So there will be lots of posts to follow this one.
C is back in school officially for his second year of Dental School but before he went back we decided to get out and do some things as a family since I was feeling more up to it and my jaw was getting a lot better.

We went to the zoo as a family for the first time this season. We have some cute Koala's that are just visiting our zoo for a few months so we wanted to see them before they left. Apparently Koalas sleep any where from 18 to 21 hours a DAY! What a life, sleep, eat, sleep some more. So when we saw them they were of course sleeping but still, so cute. At our zoo they just finished a new water splash park area for the kids one of those parks with all the spouts and buckets that shoot or pour water every where. So since it was pretty hot out we skipped seeing most of the animals the kids have already seen any way and went straight to the splash park and they loved it! J just ran around and around playing in the water, he was so happy and it wore him out which was nice. E had a blast too although she was a little timid at first about getting wet but got over that quickly. On one of the spouts that shoots water out of the ground there was a penny stuck on it, as if some one put that down to trick the kids into putting their faces right over the spout when it was off so that it would shoot them in the face when it came back on. So being the mean parents we are when that spout was off we showed J the penny, knowing how much he loves to play with money we knew he'd try and pick it up. He went over to the penny bent down and looked at it just as the water began to come out. The water didn't shoot out hard but it did get him in the face and we laughed we are so mean, but it's just water it's not like it hurt him, just scared him a little then he laughed too.

There is another pool here that I wanted to take the kids to so we decided to go with Daddy too before he had to head back to school. See here, in the summers it's so hot but not just hot, humid too so standing in shade does nothing to cool you off. If you are out side in this heat you'll most likely want to be in or near water to cool you off. So going to this new pool area was just what we needed to beat the heat. It had a little wading pool that was less than three feet deep so the kids can just run around with out us needing to hold them which is nice. It also had a big pool with big water slides but we didn't even bother with that since the kids were too small to even go on the big slides. but also in this kiddy area they had some short water slides and a play ground in the middle with a tunnel slide that went into the water and it had spouts shooting water every where. The kids loved it, especially the water slides. J even could go down them by himself I just had to catch him at the end when it got too deep for him. They went down the slides what seemed like a hundred times but it was fun to watch them laugh and love it. I'm glad we went and we'll be going again because it was so cheap to get in and totally worth it.
Even though C had a long break it seemed like much of the time we stayed home because of the whole jaw issue thing and I'm glad we took the last week and a half to get out as a family and do some fun things. Here are pics. There are more posts below of the other things we've been up to lately, enjoy!

The cute sleeping Koala

Can you tell he was having fun, he was all smiles!
We only got two pictures of J at the other pool with the slides before our camera batteries died. He had so much fun going down those slides over and over and so did E.

Sounds like lots of fun. They look like they are having a great time. So, I went to the dentist the other day and almost had a panic attack in the chair when I started thinking about your jaw story. Thanks for that!
